Global Search
FluentCRM v3 introduces a unified Global Search that lets you jump to any contact, campaign, automation, company, or note from a single search box – no more clicking through five different lists to find what you need.
This article shows you how to open Global Search, what it can find, and how to make it part of your daily workflow.
Open Global Search
There are two ways to launch Global Search:
- WordPress admin bar: Click the FluentCRM Search icon in the WordPress admin bar at the top of any admin page. The search panel slides in from the right.
- Inside FluentCRM: From any FluentCRM screen, click the magnifying-glass icon in the top header, or press the keyboard shortcut
/(forward slash) to open the panel without leaving the keyboard.
What Global Search can find
Type at least two characters and FluentCRM will search across multiple scopes simultaneously. The result panel groups matches by type:
- Subscribers – Contacts matched by email, first/last name, full name, or phone.
- Campaigns – Email campaigns matched by title or internal label.
- Automations – Automation funnels matched by title or internal label.
- Companies – Companies matched by name or domain.
- Subscriber Notes – Notes attached to any contact.
Each result row shows the entity title, a short subtitle (e.g. status for subscribers, send date for campaigns), and clicking it takes you straight to the matching detail page.
Note: Global Search respects the same access controls as the rest of FluentCRM. CRM Managers will only see results inside the modules they have permission to access.
Filter results by scope
If your CRM contains thousands of contacts and dozens of campaigns, you can scope a search to a single area:
- Open Global Search.
- Click one of the scope chips at the top of the panel: All, Subscribers, Campaigns, Automations, Companies, or Notes.
- Type your query – only results from the selected scope will be shown.
The default scope is All, which returns up to a handful of matches per type and is usually the fastest way to navigate.
Tips for everyday use
- Find a contact instantly: Press
/, type the first three letters of their email, hit Enter. - Reuse a campaign as a starting point: Search by campaign title, open it, then click Duplicate.
- Audit a contact's notes: Use the Notes scope to find a phrase you remember writing.
- Locate companies by domain: Search by
acme.cominstead of Acme Inc. if multiple companies share a name.
